Experience a thrilling musical journey to the iconic world-famous Marquee Club.

The band will perform two blistering sets of classic songs from a selection of the bands that played the famous club over the years.

THE MOST ICONIC VENUE IN THE HISTORY OF LIVE MUSIC

The Marquee Club All Star Band brings the sound of the golden years of London's original Marquee Club, the legendary launchpad for The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, The Who and countless others, revisiting the music that shaped the golden age of British rock.

Leading the line-up is Mel Gaynor, renowned for his thunderous drumming with Simple Minds and live performances alongside Elton John, Tina Turner and Lou Reed. On guitar is Gus Isidor, a versatile player and co-writer of Seal's platinum hit "Prayer for the Dying", with credits including Peter Gabriel, Marc Bolan and Peter Green. Adam Day brings depth and colour on keyboards, having worked with Simply Red, Elton John and The Blockheads. Vocals come from acclaimed South African singer Nic Billington, joined by Dave Boys on bass, known for his work with Samson, the Quireboys, and Heavy Pettin'.

Expect reinterpretations of tracks by Hendrix, The Stones, Fleetwood Mac, and Queen, delivered with a deep understanding of tone, timing, and feel - less a replication, more a reawakening of the songs' original fire.

For one night only, the raw spirit of Soho's golden age roars back to life.

A chance to revisit the music of a defining era, played live by those who know it inside out.

----

The Marquee Club became the spiritual home to so much musical talent, the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Led Zeppelin, The Faces, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Rod Stewart, David Bowie and a wealth of different artist and bands from all genres of music around the world who played and applied their trade at this legendary venue.

The Allstar band are some of the most talented musicians around today!

Mel Gaynor (drums) — Mel Gaynor is best known as the powerhouse drummer who brought thunder to Simple Minds from the early 1980s onward; he first recorded with them on New Gold Dream (1982) and became their long-term live and studio drummer, including the Live Aid era and large stadium tours. Gaynor began playing very young (first pro gig in his mid-teens), has roots in London with Jamaican/Afro-Brazilian family heritage, and has also recorded and toured with other rock outfits (earlier in his career he played in Samson). Besides drumming he has released solo material and continues to tour with projects such as The Marquee Club All Star Band.

Gus Isidore (guitar) — Gus Isidore is a veteran left-handed guitarist (played "upside-down") with a versatile session and touring résumé: he's credited with work alongside major artists ranging from Peter Gabriel and Seal to connections with the Thin Lizzy/Phil Lynott scene and classic rock players. He's noted for being stylistically adaptable — able to play rock, pop, funk and soulful lead — and has songwriting/credit highlights (he contributed to material linked to Seal's commercially successful era). He's a regular member of the Marquee All Star line-ups, bringing tasteful, seasoned guitar work to the set.

Dave Boyce (bass) — Dave "Boycey" Boyce is a UK bass player active on the live circuit and in recording work; social and promotional material lists him as the low-end anchor for the Marquee All Star Band. His public profiles and music industry listings show decades of playing in rock and function bands, links to groups such as Heavy Pettin/Glasgow rock circles, and steady gigging across venues in London and the north — a solid, road-tested player who fills the groove duties for this project.

Adam Day (keyboards) — Adam Day (often performing under "Adamkeys" / Adam Day) is a classically and jazz-trained keyboardist/organist with a background that includes TV and festival appearances, sessions at venues such as Ronnie Scott's and Wembley, and teaching/MA credentials in music technology. He's comfortable across jazz, pop, funk and retro keyboard styles — the kind of player who supplies Hammond/organ, piano and synth textures to recreate the Marquee-era classic songs the band celebrates.

Nic Billington (vocals) — Nic Billington is a South African-born singer-songwriter who relocated to the UK and built a profile through YouTube exposure and subsequent releases (debut Overload and several singles). Often described as a dark-pop vocalist with a charismatic stage persona, Nic brings vocal versatility and contemporary flair to the Marquee set—handling everything from bluesy rock to more pop/synth-tinged material in the band's repertoire.
