He has shared stages over the years with well-known Bands and Musicians such as Creedence Clearwater Revived, Eric Sardinas, Popa Chubby, Don Airey (Deep Purple), Gerry McAvoy (Rory Gallagher), James Thompson (Zucchero), Stan Skibby, Martin Barre (Jethro Tull), Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep), Jaime Dolce (Van De Sfroos), Tolo Marton (Le Orme), Giorgio Piazza (PFM), Leburn Maddox (James Brown), Rigo Righetti (Ligabue), Vince Pastano (Vasco Rossi), Mauro Patelli (Luca Carboni), Tiromancino, Skiantos, Sud Sound System and many others ...

His greatest passion always remains for Jimi Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page... In their honour he offers shows dedicated to them with faithfully matched equipment: right handed Stratocaster guitars played left-handed the same as Jimi, original sound effects and amplifiers of the time, sixties themed clothes and lots of energy in perfect vintage style.

After performing at all the big Rory Gallagher festivals in Ireland, Holland, Germany and Italy, Simone is now working on his first solo album which will be released in spring 2025 to promote around Europe. He was one of the stand out acts at the Nene Valley Rock Festival 2024 in Grimsthorpe – England, so much so he has been invited back to play again in 2025.

RECENT REVIEW

Moving into mid afternoon on the Kingfisher stage Simone Galassi from Italy gave an impressive performance of 70's power blues and you can tell why he also fronts a Rory Gallagher tribute band back home. The tent very quickly filled up, with an impressive crowd outside as well, as Simone belted out guitar driven rock. His style and delivery reminded me very much of Frank Marino and there were smiles all round when he launched into Voodoo Chile. DR

Simone Galassi follows on, and his power trio approach may have been done many times before, but when the band are as gifted and tight as this, it's a winning formula. Galassi himself is a great guitarist, channeling such greats as Trower, Gallagher and even Hendrix. The rhythm section are equally good, and the band are cooking up a storm in no time.
