Servals, and Tegus, and BEARS, OH MY! 4 Hours

This is an introductory course that includes basic care of exotics kept as a part of the exotic pet trade. As the exotic pet trade continues to boom across the US, to the point of $15 Billion a year, more and more calls are being received for exotics. When rescues/animal control receive a call, what do you do? What supplies will you need? Who do you call? How do you know that the animal will end up in the right hands and not continue to be neglected and abused and/or sold back into the exotic pet trade or become a "mill animal". You will receive resources for basic husbandry, and the people to call, when you receive a call.

Book II OZ: Operations and Zeal 2 Hours

This course includes getting officers out of their seat and running an actual operation when there is an exotic animal on the loose. As the exotic pet trade continues to boom across the US, to the point of $15 Billion a year, more and more calls are being received for them being found or on the loose. When rescues/animal control receive a call, what do you do? What supplies will you need? Who do you call? How will you get this animal contained safely and efficiently? Running this simulation will help build confidence in the officers and give them access to the everyday tools they may have to make the capture.

Hybrids: What's the Mix up? 2 Hours

You will learn about Phenotyping hybrids. The first hour is feline hybrids. This includes Serval and Asian Leopard Cat Hybrids and some other that are becoming popular in the pet trade. The second hour is canines. Specifically, Wolf Hybrids but also includes Coyote Hybrids.
