The Tom Petty Preservation Society is made up of an elite set of musicians and their aim is to re create those amazing songs written and immortalised by Tom Petty.

This gathering includes ex members of The Denny Laine Band (Ex Moody Blues and Wings), The Chuck Berry Touring Band and also a current member of 70's Progsters, Atomic Rooster.

Tom Petty was best known as the legendary frontman of the band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. He also enjoyed success as a solo artist with such hit songs as 'Free Fallin'' and 'Runnin' Down a Dream.'

He previously led the band Mudcrutch, was a member of the late 1980s super-group the Traveling Wilburys

Tom Petty was without doubt a beacon of light in the Rock n Roll World until his untimely death in 2017.

Over the course of his career, Tom Petty sold more than 80 million albums. His hit singles with the Heartbreakers include "American Girl" (1976), "Don't Do Me Like That" (1979), "Refugee" (1980), "The Waiting" (1981), "Don't Come Around Here No More" (1985) and "Learning to Fly" (1991).

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. Petty was honourd as MusiCares Person of the Year in February 2017 for his contributions to music and for his philanthropy.
