SEAN TAYLOR Featuring Mike Seal
Superbly Tailored songs' Daily Mirror
'Articulate, compelling ... brilliant'' – Mojo
At the heart of Sean Taylor's music is a desire to turn the world into a song. His songs are of love, desire, heartbreak and social commentary. 'Sean Taylor must be one of the best songwriters around' (Blues Matters). He can 'turn anything into a song' (Classic Rock).
Sean is an international touring troubadour. He was nominated for both 2023 and 2024 UK blues acoustic artist of the year award. His songs are best described as roots; influenced by blues, Americana, jazz, spoken word and folk music. As well as a prolific songwriter he is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, guitarist, pianist, and harmonica player.
Sean gives everything to each of his live performances. Touring all over the world he is one of the hardest working artists around. Sean's performances have included Glastonbury (acoustic stage), Cambridge Folk Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival (Aus), Ramblin Roots Festival (NL) Avignon Blues Festival (FR), Harvest Time Blues Festival (IRL), Blue Balls Festival (CH) and many other global events.
He has opened for Robert Cray, John Fogerty, John Mayall, Neville Brothers, Tony Joe White, Band Of Horses, Richard Thompson, Eric Bibb and many other legends.
Sean Taylor tours both solo and with his band promoting his latest album 'The End Of The Rainbow'
"Sean Taylor is a wonderfully talented modern troubadour whose sincere, thoughtful songs pull you in. I've had the pleasure of sharing the stage with him. He swings. Check him out!" Eric Bibb
"A fine young musician, songwriter and great geezer. I have nothing but admiration for the dedication to his craft.' Danny ThompsonThere are places, scattered around the globe, where local people believe so much in music or any other forms of art that they are prepared to go all the way to make it possible. Those are the places that keep the spirit of music, any music, alive and kicking. One of these places is Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre.

Recent Review
Sean Taylor, a young artist from London carries in his voice and his guitar, almost hypnotize the crowd throughout the whole 70-minutes set. Taylor travels across his whole discography during the acoustic set but personally, I felt the performance reached its pinnacle through two of the tracks on Taylor's new album, The Only Good Addiction Is Love and Bad Light. The purity of Taylor's voice is a rare jewel to find in nowadays' music scene and when he sings, one can feel that he means every word he sings about.
Sean Taylor does not forget the lessons of his music heroes and throughout his set, he pulls out of his magic hat three splendid covers, Hard Time Killing Floor Blues by Skip James, Sixteen Tons by Merle Travis and the powerful Freedom, by Richie Havens, with which the singer/songwriter concludes his concert.
A concert made of class, elegance, simplicity and great artistry at the same time. For one night only, the people of Aldershot felt like a star fell from the sky and shone in their gardens for a little while. That star is called Sean Taylor.
